We are thrilled to announce that this year we are celebrating the 10-year anniversary of CACHE PET, the first UK Centralised Pet Insurance Claims Database.
Over the past decade, CACHE PET has transformed the way pet insurers combat fraud and manage claims. By enabling insurers to securely share and analyse pet claims data, it helps insurers uncover fraud patterns, detect serial claimants, and identify fraud risks with greater speed and accuracy.
Since its launch in 2016, it has empowered pet insurers to better manage risk by building a comprehensive claims profile and history for each claimant. This enables more effective fraud detection, reduces losses, and enhances both customer trust and insurer reputation.
As the availability of pet healthcare policies and vet cost increase, so too does the risk of fraudulent activity. Issues such as claims anomalies, serial claimants, pre-existing conditions, and non-disclosure or misrepresentation are becoming more common.
Thanks to CACHE Pet insurers can proactively identify these risk factors and streamline claims management by detecting anomalies, flagging repeat claim patterns, and uncovering hidden or misrepresented information.
